For this style, fast footwork is often utilized in order to give the impression that the performers are drifting lightly across the stage.

Tap Dance is an exciting, percussive, rhythmical dance form. The dancer uses their feet to strike the floor, beating out a melody, with tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on screen and stage in musicals.

Modern Theatre dance is a rhythmic dance style rooted in musical theatre, which originated in America. It is often seen in musical productions and is known for its dynamic theatrical qualities. It is an enjoyable dance form which allows students to find their own voice through movement. This is a structured class, however there are no exams to be taken within the ISTD until students are at least 10 years old.

We are adding “Movers” is the perfect class for little ones who love to move! Combining the basic technique of Jazz with the energy and style of Commercial, it's all about building confidence, creativity and performance skills while having lots of fun. Babes Movers is suitable for our 3-4yr olds, and Mini Movers for our 4-6yr olds.
